TOP 10

Here is a list of 10 of my favourite books!

01

Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen

Sounds like a cliche, but it's a classic! It has everything I look for in a romance; banter, tension, and Mr. Darcy!

02

Burial Rites - Hannah Kent

Dark, unnerving, and utterly heartbreaking. Kent's exploration of Agnes Magnúsdóttir's last days will haunt you.

03

The Mortal Instruments Series - Cassandra Clare

Fantasy, Demons, and Romance? Right up my alley! I'm a sucker for a fun YA adventure.

04

Survivor Type - Stephen King

This is actually a short story, not a novel or series. It's a visceral look at isolation and starvation. If you get queasy easily, I would not recommend it for you!

05

The Shiver Trilogy - Maggie Stiefvater

A unique take on the werewolf trope, Maggie creates a world that feels cold, even to the reader, and only the heat of two lovers can keep us warm.

06

The House of Night Series - P.C and Kristin Cast

A blending of vampires and witches, the Cast duo quickly envelop readers into the House of Night.

07

Daughter of Smoke and Bone Series - Laini Taylor

Laini strips the star-crossed demon and angel loves YA trope and makes it into something new. What? You'll have to read it and find out.

08

The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins

Ignoring the pain from your younger years and insane hype, these books really do have something positive to offer! Suzanne's masterful telling of trauma, war, grief, and healing is what makes the novels for me.

09

The Handmaid's Tale - Margaret Atwood

In an age where we are supposed to be progressing, this book has more meaning than ever. Margaret Atwood wrote a world that should seem absurd, but it doesn't - and that's what's frightening.

10

The Vampire Academy Series - Richelle Mead

One of the initial fantasy series' that introduced me into the world of YA Fantasy and reading. Badass women, strong, handsome men, and vampires. What more could a girl ask for?
